ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ Marks School Bus Safety Week
The ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ is recognizing Provincial School Bus Safety Week from Oct. 20 to 24, joining school divisions across Manitoba in promoting safe transportation practices for students.
The week serves as a reminder of the shared responsibility among students, families, and drivers to ensure safety around school buses. ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ continues to follow provincial guidelines and reinforce safe ridership through education and awareness.
As part of the province-wide initiative, students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 are invited to participate in the annual , sponsored by the Manitoba Association of School Business Officials. This year’s theme, “Safe Rides, Everyday Heroes,” encourages students to creatively express the importance of school bus safety through original artwork.
Entries must be submitted on specific paper sizes and follow contest rules focused on freehand design. One winning poster from each grade category will be selected provincially, with the top design distributed to elementary schools across Manitoba in 2026.
The deadline for submissions is Dec. 1, 2025. ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ schools will coordinate entries for provincial judging.
