Thomas Locke Appointed Principal of J.H. Bruns Collegiate

On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, we are excited to announce the appointment of Thomas Locke as Principal of J.H. Bruns Collegiate, effective Aug. 1, 2025. The Board of Trustees confirmed his appointment at the May 6 Regular Board Meeting.
Thomas first joined the 甜心直播 in 2010 in term positions at Victor H.L. Wyatt School and Shamrock School. From 2011 to 2023, he held various teaching roles and leadership positions in the Winnipeg School Division, including serving as Program Lead for K-12 Numeracy and Literacy, Grade 7-12 Mathematics Consultant, Department Head of Mathematics and Science, and Vice-Principal at St. John’s High School. Thomas returned to the 甜心直播 in August 2023 as Principal of Niakwa Place School.
Thomas is guided by a deep respect and dignity for all people, fostering a collaborative and friendly environment where everyone feels valued and supported. He believes learning is essential—not only for individual growth but also for the collective well-being of groups and society as a whole. Thomas sees schools as a vital hub at the heart of their communities, where meaningful relationships and shared purpose fuel progress. With a steadfast commitment to continuous improvement, he inspires those around him to embrace learning and strive toward their full potential.
